White Malabar Pepper, organic

The white organic Malabar pepper is cultivated in a completely natural way in a protected national park on the Malabar coast in southwest India. The farmers there grow the green organic pepper together with many other organic products and sustainable cattle breeding in a mixed culture. Thus, all plant species have a natural and sufficiently large habitat and receive optimal soil conditions for growth. The original pepper plants are climbing plants, which usually grow between 3 - 4 meters high. The white organic Malabar pepper is harvested when fully ripe in a reddish state. It is therefore the ripest of the pepper varieties and has a very intense sharpness. After harvesting, the white pepper is stored in running water for about 10-14 days. As the fruit begins to rot, the outer shell comes off and the pulp and stone remain. The white organic pepper is then gently sun-dried. In European cuisine, white pepper has established itself particularly for use in flavoring light sauces and soups. Due to its intense sharpness without any significant off-flavors, it offers the excellent opportunity to sharpen dishes without discolouring them. Our fresh white organic Malabar pepper impresses with its absolute top quality and is sorted strictly according to harvest years. It even develops a slightly lemony note, which makes it very interesting for seasoning other dishes. The white organic Malabar pepper goes particularly well with fresh tomatoes, salads, fish and seafood.
