Wild Voatsiperifery Pepper

The Voatsiperifery pepper (Piper borbonese), also called Madagascar pepper, is a special type of pepper within the pepper family. It grows wild in the jungle in Madagascar - which is why it is sometimes referred to as jungle pepper. Our Madagascar pepper comes from wild harvesting, but is not yet certified organic. The wild climbing plant grows up to 20 meters high and must be bravely climbed to harvest it. We recommend that you grind the pepper in a mortar or grinder just before use so that the essential oils are preserved. This rare and special pepper can also be mixed with us in the Spicebar Spice Mixer, for example, to create an exciting pepper mixture or an exotic curry mixture.
