CINNAMON (POWDER)

This great classic of spices is the dried bark of a tree called the cinnamon tree. Sweet or savory, its use is multiple and varies according to cultures and regions of the world. In the West, it is mainly used in desserts, quite classically with apple or chocolate. In North Africa, India, or Greece, cinnamon is used to enhance savory dishes such as red meats and poultry. It is also often added to couscous and tajines. Origin: Vietnam
