Kaffir lime is a green citrus fruit with a swollen rind native to the island of Sumbaw near Bali. Its leaves are widely used in Thai cuisine, they are used to infuse broth, flavor a sauce or a marinade. You can also insert it into a shrimp skewer. Loaded with essential oils, kaffir lime leaves evoke flavors of lemongrass, citrus and verbena.Origin: Madagascar
