Founded in 2020, Tchin Baijiu is the French subsidiary of Jaxin Wein & Spirituosen GmbH, the largest importer of baijiu in Germany and Europe.
Approved distributor of the most prestigious baijiu houses, our subsidiary now focuses on the French market with offices and warehouse in Paris.
With a Franco-German-Chinese team passionate about Chinese spirits, our aim is to introduce the French public to the history and know-how of baijiu.
About Baijiu
In Chinese, “Bai 白” means “white, clear and pure” and “Jiu 酒” means “Alcohol”. This is why baijiu can be literally translated into French as “White Alcohol” and this was the case until January 2021, when the term “baijiu” became the international name that this alcohol will bear.
Thus, all the various types of high-strength Chinese grain alcohols (40-70%) are called “baijiu”. It is mainly made from sorghum and is comparable to Vodka.
