Van Bulck specializes in Belgian organic beers of the highest quality. Our beers are brewed using traditional methods with certified organic ingredients and meet the necessary standards to carry the European Union (EU) logo for organic products. This means that at least 95 percent of the ingredients are organically grown. Hops and barley are grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The fruits and herbs used in brewing meet the same strict requirements.
Van Bulck is a tribute to the CEO's mother, Liesbeth Van Bulck. A relative of a famous brewer from Watou, she inherited her godfather's love of Belgian beer culture. Her parents had a hotel-restaurant on the Belgian coast at the time, so she soon acquired a taste for it. She graduated as a chef and received sommelier training. For forty years, she ran two successful restaurants on the Belgian coast. The philosophy of the family business was to always work with high-quality fresh products. Long before organic was a well-known concept, Liesbeth insisted on using only the very best ingredients in her restaurant.
