GREEN JALAPEÑO PEPPER The jalapeño pepper takes its name from the Mexican town of Xalapa, sometimes spelled Jalapa, in the Veracruz region of eastern Mexico.   This pepper is known for its spicy, fruity, fresh, slightly tangy flavor.   With an average level of 3000 to 6000 on the Scoville scale, it is not without spice, but remains accessible to a wide audience, even the uninitiated.  Often used in Tex-Mex cuisine, this dried pepper flakes can be incorporated as is into your preparations.   WHICH RECIPES SHOULD YOU USE JALAPEÑOS PEPPERS IN?   If you want to spice up your dip sauces during an aperitif, this is the one for you.   Add a few jalapeño pepper flakes to your guacamole or hummus, and that's it.   As for the main course, add a pinch of jalapeño pepper to your marinade to enhance your meats and vegetables, or add it directly to your sauce dishes (bolognese, chili, basquaise, etc.) Are you adventurous?  Try the chocolate-jalapeño combo.   Revisit your chocolate mousses, brownies or cookies with a pinch of jalapeño pepper flakes for a good dose of pep, as a snack or as a dessert.   PACKAGING AND STORING JALAPEÑO PEPPER Our Jalapeño Pepper is available in a 35 g glass bottle or in a 250 g refill bag.   Store it in a dry, cool place, away from light.   The Jalapeño Pepper does not expire, but we recommend using it within 48 months to preserve the full intensity of its aromas.
