
AOP Cahors Bottled on the estate Clos Triguedina is taken from the Occitan “Me trigo de dina” and means “I can’t wait to dine” in reference to the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela who used to eat at the estate. Éproduced since 1830, this vintage reflects the family know-how passed down for seven generations. Vintage 2020: Bronze Medal at the Concours des Grands Vins de France Vineyard - Appellation: Cahors, South-West Blend: 85% Malbec, 10% Merlot, 5% Tannât. Terroir: 2nd, 3rd and 4th Terraces of the estate, clay-siliceous and clay-limestone subsoil. Vines over 30 years old. Vineyard work and winemaking: Very careful work in the vineyard with an eco-responsible commitment to soil preservation. Very rigorous vinification. Éaged in oak barrels for 12 months. Tasting: Intense nose of black fruits, enhanced with peppery and liquorice notes. The structure is long and complex. Beautiful balance between the expression of tannins, aromatic richness and suppleness. Food/Wine Pairing: A young vintage will accompany foie gras, red meats in sauce and game. An older vintage will pair perfectly with truffles, grilled red and white meats, game or even cheeses.
