Mutjaba and the inhabitants of Laurent Bonnevay square

Mutjaba the musician pigeon travels around the world to share his music. One day, they land on a large building bar: UC1, in Bron. He goes to meet the inhabitants and discover their life, between daily trials, laughter and solidarity. But the small community learns of the upcoming demolition of the site. What will become of its occupants? When the Métropole de Lyon decided in 2015 to demolish a large complex built in the 1950s in Bron, there was great emotion among the inhabitants, who, while noting that the atmosphere of the beginnings is no longer there, wonder where they will go. This album, but also exhibitions, events in schools, high schools, interview collections, recordings of traditional music were created to accompany this event and immortalize this building. The different workshops are represented on the last pages of the album, showing their actors and giving excerpts in photos. The book was offered to all families by Lyon Métropole Habitat. The profits from the sales will be donated to the Arts et Développement association, an association that offers plastic creation workshops open to all and free, at the foot of buildings in working-class neighborhoods.
