Macondo's 75% "Hispaniola Fruity" dark chocolate is produced in the Dominican Republic and is the result of Fair Trade. This organic chocolate hints at spicy and tropical fruit notes. It has bold tannins and a sparkling acidity that is immediately perceived on the palate. The Macondo cooperative was founded in Palermo in 1993 and over time became one of the main centers for the importation of fair trade products in Sicily.
