This exquisite product (literally hot sauce) is a traditional Piedmontese condiment that dates back to medieval times, where farmers gave rise to a rustic dish, with a strong flavour, to contrast with everyday food. The precious garlic, salted anchovy and olive oil created a convivial dish for the winter season. Bagna cauda is generally served with traditional Piedmontese vegetables such as peppers, cardoons, cabbage, radicchio, leek, carrots, Jerusalem artichokes and salads, steamed potatoes, onions and baked red chard, roasted peppers and boiled cauliflower. AND,furthermore, an excellent condiment for spaghetti, hard-boiled and scrambled eggs.
