✔️Hypocras: Spiced red wine ✔️ Handcrafted in Normandy ✔️ 75cl bottle ✔️ Alcohol content of 13.5% Hypocras, especially used in the Middle Ages, was served at great feasts and it was then considered a marvel to have combined the strength of wine with the sweetness of honey and the scents of spices.  Medieval wine, stimulating and digestive of the first order, prepared according to the recipe of Guillaume Tirel Taillevent, famous master chef of King Charles VII, François Rabelais and various works dating from the 13th century.  Today, hypocras is consumed very fresh, either as an aperitif wine or as a dessert wine.                                        The manufacture of hypocras remains, despite growing success, entirely natural and artisanal.                                        With its originality, its surprising flavors, its alcoholic sweetness, you will surprise your palate and that of your guests who will discover an excellent aperitif.  Hypocras is composed of wine, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Mace, Honey, Rosewater, Sugar, Orange.                                        Do not confuse hypocras, made from wine, and mead which comes from the alcoholic fermentation of honey!
