Kirsch brandy - 45° - 70 cl

Kirsch is the iconic brandy of Alsace, "the King of brandies" in the Villé Valley, cradle of cherry distillation. 

Formerly very rich in cherry trees, the Valley offered numerous fruits to local distillers, who knew how to perfect this red jewel.   It was also the favorite brandy of Joseph Nusbaumer, the founder of our distillery.

 This Kirsch brandy is obtained by fermentation of black cherries for 3 to 4 weeks. 

Then the fermented cherries are pitted and left to rest for 6 to 8 weeks so that the fruit flavors develop. 

After distillation, the kirsch is stored in stainless steel vats, before being reduced to the degree using Steige spring water; of great purity because it is naturally filtered by the Vosges schist; with cold filtration to perfect the manufacturing.

 Tasting notes: - Nose: the cherry is intense with the stone very present - Mouth: confirmation of the nose, the fruit is intense and complex, with slightly stoney aromas, with notes of bitter almonds. - Finish: beautiful and long Usage tips : - Pure as a digestive or as a “coffee schnapps” - As a cocktail (as a long drink, lengthened with sparkling water, soda or fruit juice or with other spirits) - In pastries (Black Forest, tarts, clafoutis, mousses, sponge cakes, jams) - In the kitchen (Savoyard fondue, garnished sauerkraut, duck mousse)
