Mineral resins amplified by balsam fir. The perfume original, simple. Holy, what does that mean? Frankincense is the resin obtained by incising trees of the genus Boswellia, present from the south of the Arabian Peninsula to Kenya via India. Of all of them, the Sacra, endemic to the Sultanate of Oman, is historically the most famous, both for its mineral, lemony and minty fragrance, and for its therapeutic virtues. It is this resin that drew the Routes of Incense, it is also the one that for millennia has been used in Vedic, Sumerian, Egyptian, Roman, Hebrew and Christian religious rituals. It is therefore no coincidence that our “totem perfume” is called Sacra.
