Vanilla - 50 ml.

A candied vanilla contrasted by smoky notes of cade wood and irises. Vanilla, what is it? Vanilla is quite a story... Revered by the Totonac, Amerindian people, as a sign of invincible love, it takes its name from a deformation of the vagina (meaning what we know) through won't. The conquistadors who brought it back to Europe thought it resembled the "sheath of a sword", which, of course, has nothing to do with the aphrodisiac virtues attributed to it... If its smell evokes more beige and pastry cream that frolics in the 17th century, it is because the vanilla that we know in aromas and fragrances is in fact vanillin, its main fragrant compound. For our Vanilla, we opted for a bourbon vanilla absolute, with woody and smoky aromas more faithful to the smell of the "sheath".
