Basil

Beautifully fragrant Basil to add flavour to any dish. With an almost-minty freshness because of its essential oils, it compliments meat dishes soups as well as the Vietnamese noodle soup, <i>phở</i>. Most often associated with Italian food, especially pesto, basil has many other culinary uses: add to tomatoes, stuffing, soups, stews  pasta. It's an important ingredient in our blends, notably our <a href="https://tastespice.tempurl.host/shop/thai-rub/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Thai Rub</a>  <a href="https://tastespice.tempurl.host/shop/steak-rub-mild/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Steak Rub</a>. For a quick tomato sauce, fry some sliced garlic (or just use our Garlic oil to save time), a tin of chopped tomatoes 1 tsp of basil. In just 5 minutes, you've got a quick tasty sauce to run through pasta.
