Our beautiful Togarashi is a Japanese classic. Also known as shichimi it's a blend of chilli, black white sesame seeds, orange zest, ginger, Sichuan pepper seaweed. You only need a pinch for a massive kick of flavour and heat, so use sparingly. Adds a kick to ribs, wings, prawn toast, seaweed, tofu, chillies, stews, any meats, prawns, noodles, soups - in fact anything where you feel like a boost! Make a glaze of honey, ginger, garlic, sake, and soy sauce with a pinch of Togarashi for a terrific glaze for salmon fillets, or use to season flour before coating squid or chicken strips and frying. One of our favourite ways to use this is to add a teaspoon to mayo or sour cream for a fantastic dip!
