
Kirishima Houjicha Organic Green Tea comes from Kirishima, Kyusu, Japan: a well-roasted, low-caffeine organic green tea. Houjicha is made from Sencha tea roasted at high temperatures, a process that sweetens the taste of the tea and removes most of the caffeine present in the leaf. Place of origin Kyusu, Japan Production This green tea is produced according to the classic Japanese style, therefore, the freshly picked leaves are left to wither for a short time and then flooded with very hot steam for between one minute and one and a half minutes making sure that "the killing of the green" takes place, useful for deactivating the enzymes that would lead the leaf to oxidize and allowing a greater elaboration of the vegetable flavors in the product.
