The first step to a paradigm shift.
We are Ana Luz (Buenos Aires 1985) and Maxime Boniface (Strasbourg 1981), we met in 2008, we formed a family together and in 2012 thanks to our friend Alejandro Cohen, who made us understand the negative impact of livestock farming on the environment environment and the horror of animal exploitation, we began to change our diet towards a vegan diet.
We lived in Buenos Aires and far from missing the asado, what cost us the most was the cheese!
At that time we were dedicated to audiovisual content, but we wanted to turn 180 degrees and do our bit to help facilitate the protein transition that our society needs 🌱.
That is why we came to Barcelona in 2015 and started the Väcka project, which started as a small restaurant in the Gracia neighborhood but always had the ambition to take the plant-based cheese experience to a new level.
In 2019 we were lucky enough to learn about the Apocapoc project and we were able to open our workshop there, a perfect nest to continue working aligned with our values.
This year 2022 we are very excited to continue growing with your support and to be able to help all the people who, like us, back in 2012, want to take the step to a plant-based diet free of animal cruelty.
