Origin: France - Pyrenees Volumes and net weights: 50ml / 60g / 2.11 oz Ingredients: Fleur de sel from the Pyrenees & Abies Alba fir needles from Canigou €158.33/kg Description: This fleur de sel comes from a thousand-year-old sea which evaporated several times over 200 million years, which encouraged the deposit of successive layers of salt, today buried in the heart of the Catalan mountains. As rain and snow water rise to the surface, it passes through these rocks and becomes loaded with minerals and salts with a concentration much higher than that of sea water. The harvest and its preparation take place in summer, in the only remaining artisanal saltworks in the region “El Sali de Cambrils”: Produced by natural evaporation of the waters of small fountains flowing towards the valley. This very pure fleur de sel is characterized by its crunchy texture and its beautiful shine, this one is mixed with needles of Abies Alba fir from Canigou adding notes of fir, menthol, eucalyptus and red fruits. Directions for use: You can then use it as a herbal salt with more original and warm notes, reminiscent of winter evenings and end-of-year celebrations. It is particularly effective on red meat after cooking, a pan-fried vegetable dish, to season a salad and vegetables in general, especially potatoes. On a noble fish after cooking or in foil so that the fir aromas develop further.
