The distillery of C.f.                                        Berger was founded in Couvet, in the canton of Neufchâtel, Switzerland, in 1823.                                        The Berger Distillery has made several Swiss-style absinthes, the most famous of which is C.f.                                        Absinthe verte Berger 65º degree, which has earned its status as one of the first absinthes of the 19th century.                                        Unfortunately, absinthe manufacturing at the Berger Distillery came to a halt with the Swiss ban of 1910, and the distillery ceased all operations in Switzerland shortly thereafter.     This fine Swiss absinthe would have been almost lost forever if the original unopened bottles had not been found and secured for safekeeping. HASUsing proprietary analytical techniques, Ted Breaux has painstakingly resurrected this magnificent spirit from extinction.     Jade C.f.                                        Berger is a faithful recreation of the original film by C.f.                                        Berger 65º green absinthe, down to the smallest details.  Absinthe Supérieure Berger is entirely handcrafted from selected botanicals from the regions of origin and is carefully distilled in old copper absinthe stills.   This absinthe offers an experience characteristic of the best Swiss-style absinthes.                                        When tasting our Absinthe Supérieure, the connoisseur will be pleasantly stimulated by the way it quickly asserts its refined strength with a bold fragrant scent, a full-bodied, rounded mouthfeel and distinct herbaceous notes that linger on the palate.     Jade VS 1898 recalls a century-old tradition of fine Swiss-style absinthes and allows the connoisseur to savor a journey through history.
