Where it all began...
A few years ago, spice hunter Erwann D. k. through Central Africa and made a short film about unknown spices, the use of which he had explained to him by very experienced older ladies.
Memories of our childhood quickly came back. Memories of the love of cooking and the spirit of adventure that had always shaped us through the novels “Treasure Island” by Robert Louis Stevenson and “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne. How can we now pass this treasure on to others?
There was only one solution for us, “Spice Symphony”. The small business was now founded with the aim of offering spices that tell the story of your piece of land, your people, your traditions... spices that can be enjoyed without guilt, that make you feel like you are immersed in another country.
The first steps
In July 2023 the time had come. During a stay in Penja-Cameroon we were able to start with the story of “PENJA”. We imported 25 kg of 3 Penja pepper varieties, black, white and red pepper and offered them in uncompromising quality.
In June 2024 we attended the pepper festival in Rochekorbon, a must for all pepper lovers. There we met small farmers who told us the story of their berries and their pepper. We would like to continue telling the story of the unknown provinces of Dak Lak, Nam Bô and Phù Quôc in Vietnam through their pepper, as well as that of Heredia in Costa Rica or the smallest island in Africa, Sao Tome & Principe. The island of Madagascar has so much to tell with its unique pink berries, vanilla and wild Voatsiperifery pepper.
We want to freely share this story, these flavors, this authenticity, so that the symphony of nature can continue to travel.
