The herbs come from organic farming in the Piedmontese mountain region. The juniper used is harvested in a special harvest in cooperation with the Rerum Natura association. Production takes place in traditional copper kettles with wood firing – a process that Bordiga has used for generations. Recipe and Character The aromatic base consists of organic juniper, angelica, cardamom, and coriander. The gin is crystal clear and structured. Notes of undergrowth, pine resin and citrus appear on the nose. The taste is dry, resinous, complex and persistent. Even when diluted, the aromatic depth is retained. Tasting at room temperature is recommended. Tradition and Origin The term "Occitan" refers to the historical settlement area of the Occitan language. The recipe dates back to the 1920s, when the gin was still known as “Liquore di Ginepro secco”. Today, this organic gin is offered in a limited edition with numbered bottles.
