Cardamom

Our cardamom is grown by "The Dixons" in the village of Rangala outside Kandy. The cardamom is hand-picked from September and gently dried to preserve the beautiful bright green color and especially to preserve the characteristic cardamom flavor with notes of fresh citrus and eucalyptus. Whole cardamom is used in stews, curries and is fantastic in baked goods. If you are going to use cardamom for baking, we recommend that you crush and pound the cardamom just before you use it. That way you get the most aromatic and delicious cardamom flavor. 35 g
