Bresse Chilli Powder - VRAC pro

100g bag of Bresse chili powder. Grown and processed on the farm in Bresse (Ain). This product is not specifically intended for resale but more for use in catering, processing or retailing spices. Bresse pepper is a species of pepper endemic to the Bresse region at the foot of the Alps. More rustic than its Espelette cousin, it also develops a very "fruity" flavor, bringing a gourmet paprika side around a warm but not aggressive spiciness (it's still a chili pepper!). Formerly known as "red pepper of Bresse", it was used as pepper, particularly in strong cheeses. It has almost disappeared for several decades and was narrowly saved by the Revermont museum (01) and a few individuals in Bresse Louhannaise. It has been reborn from its ashes for several years, supported by an association of Bresse pepper enthusiasts and a few regional producers. Drying of fresh produce quickly after harvesting (no prior fermentation). The Farm is not certified, but our peppers are grown without pesticides and the only nutritional contribution comes from our organic insect farming (insect droppings, usable in organic farming). By default, we offer the so-called "de Romenay" or "Basset" selection, the so-called "de Ratennelle" selection can be offered. Contact us for more details.
