Preserving old traditions and excellent quality has always been the principle of LANTENHAMMER. In the beginning, mainly mountain gentian and some herbal specialties were distilled. Fruit distilling began in the 1990s and has been practiced with passion and perfection ever since. The wooden barrel gentian is fermented and distilled according to a traditional recipe by company founder Josef Lantenhammer from the roots of the yellow-flowering mountain gentian. During its storage time in oak barrels, this extraordinary distillate acquires its typical, deep-tart bouquet, which is appreciated by connoisseurs. Our gentian: an authentic Bavarian brandy.
