Hi, I'm Charlotte, the founder of Maison Aimi.
I created Maison Aimi because I have long wanted to find meaning in my work, work that would allow me to fully express myself through my creativity and what I love. A project that also makes sense for our well-being and our planet. 🌱
I have always been passionate about Asian culture, and Japanese culture in particular. I had been dreaming for a long time of creating a project around this passion. I have also always had a great interest in the field of well-being, food and health around natural solutions.
So from there, I simply said to myself: “Charlotte, what struck you when you went to Japan and what do you miss about France? What do you want to show? To transmit? ".And there it was obvious. What particularly struck me there was this culture, this habit of having tea available everywhere and at any time of the day, served hot or cold. There it was almost a substitute for water and it was HEALTHY. And it really conveyed this Japanese state of mind that fascinates me. But I didn't want to get into tea, which was already very well established in France, and above all, I wouldn't have had the impression of bringing something new.
And that's when I think of mugicha: this drink that I drank in Japan, pleasant, thirst-quenching, without caffeine, without theine, without sugar and rich in benefits, that was what I wanted to transmit, that culture.
For me, mugicha is the very embodiment of “Japanese health” and Japanese lifestyle too. This drink is so full of potential and yet so little known in France. So I am keen to introduce it to you. ✨
Maison Aimi is a bridge between cultures and towards well-being. Passionate about Asia (and especially Japan), Charlotte returned from this trip with the desire to share Japanese culture while respecting our environment.
The cereals that are included in our preparations (infusions, baking powders and drink powders) all come from local cultivation and meet the challenges of organic farming. So, our barley and buckwheat are grown in the south of France. All our partner farmers are certified organic.
We made this choice for three reasons:
> to have professionals and farmers work as close as possible to us;
> to limit travel and the carbon impact of transport;
> the specifications of the organic designation are stricter in France, allowing for better product quality.
Our workshops which process raw materials and package them are in France. Since some know-how is specific to Japan (this is particularly the case for hulling buckwheat seeds for sobacha), we called on a craftsman who trained in this country and now works in France.
HASnew, this choice was motivated to:
> have professionals working close to us;
> limit travel and the carbon impact of transport.
Beyond the products we offer you, we have carefully considered the packaging that surrounds them. Because we love beauty and cleanliness, we had to combine attractive packaging with packaging that is clean for the environment.
This is why we have chosen to offer our products in recycled aluminum boxes made in France and recyclable to ensure the perfect conservation of our products while affirming the image of our brand.
