Old apricot 700 ml 40% vol.

Intensely fruity and at the same time pleasantly mild - this is how old apricot presents itself from gently processed apricots harvested when fully ripe. The highly aromatic fruits are processed into a mash together with a proportion of stone pits. After fermentation, it goes to distillation and then to storage in wooden barrels. The typical fruity, barrel-ripened apricot owes its elegance, harmony and softness to this resting phase. It flows golden yellow into the glass. A fine barrel note of gentle sweetness and a stone tone of marzipan resonate. Our old apricot is juicy and full-bodied with a bitter-sweet touch. It is suitable as a digestif after a meal. The fascination of the mirabelle plum Mirabelle plums are a subspecies of plums, recognizable by their beautiful yellow color. It is precisely this color that earned them the name yellow plum. The fruits belong to the stone fruit family and originally come from Asia Minor. Mirabelle plums are now also at home in our latitudes and in the rest of Europe. The main German growing areas for yellow plums are in Lorraine, the Palatinate, the Middle Rhine and Main Franconia. Believe it or not, up to 70% of the global mirabelle plum harvest comes from Lorraine, where 15,000 tons of stone fruits are picked from around 250,000 trees every year. They grow on barren, thornless trees. Each stone fruit is 2 to 3 cm in size and is spherical. When ripe, mirabelle plums have a yellow skin, sometimes with green, orange or red spots. If you like, you can eat mirabelle plums raw, because they have a juicy taste with natural sweetness. In addition, they are easily detached from the stone core. All of this is also beneficial for our Alte Mirabelle fruit brandy from Germany. We process the ripe fruits with great sensitivity in our local distillery and capture the authentic taste of mirabelle plums. Some of the stone pits migrate into the mash for fermentation before the fruits are distilled. The production of Mirabelle brandy has a long tradition in rural areas of the Federal Republic of Germany. The fruits shaken from the trees are usually fermented for several months, but patience pays off. Fine, barrel-aged brandy: Alte Mirabelle Our goal is to emphasize the unique character of the stone fruit with the Alte Mirabelle fine brandy. Gentle distillation using traditional methods helps here. Then we go a step further and let the mirabelle brandy store in wooden barrels. This resting phase has a positive effect on the aroma, taste and golden yellow color of the spirit. Alte Mirabelle owes its aging in wooden barrels a soft mouthfeel and a harmonious overall impression. The barrel-ripened mirabelle brandy is richly fruity and pleasantly sweet on the nose and on the palate. You also notice a nutty undertone like stone-tone marzipan. The old mirabelle with its fruity charm and its bittersweet overtones is best drunk as a digestif after a meal.
