Mexican Ancho Pepper Flakes is a spice native to Mexico, made from dried and ground Ancho Pepper Flakes. Ancho peppers are harvested fresh in Mexico, then dried and ground into flakes. Piment Ancho has a sweet and fruity flavor, with hints of cherry, tobacco and plum. It has a medium heat and is less intense than other Mexican peppers. Ancho Chili Flakes can be used to add flavor and heat to a variety of dishes including sauces, stews, soups, marinades and meat dishes. They can be added directly to the pan or cooking pot, or sprinkled on dishes before serving. Ancho Chili Flakes are also delicious sprinkled on grilled vegetables, salads or pizzas.
