We have always been passionate about bees and raw honey. Regularly visiting our good friend Csaba, who is a committed beekeeper, have always been exciting. We talked for hours about bees and beekeeping. He looks after his bees like they were his children. This level of care and commitment amazed me, his raw honey is truly exceptional quality. After every visit, we ended up with many kgs of honey on our hands. We were enjoying his honey for many years, we always loved it. Even since we moved to the UK, we were bringing it back with us from family visits. Somehow the taste and smells keep reminding us of our childhood and homeland. Those breakfasts, cakes and other lovely stuff are made with this fantastic gift of nature.
The idea of RAW Artisan Honey was born around 2013. We like to gift honey to friends for various occasions. When our friends were asking about the honey we brought from home, it didn’t take long to realise that we have something special. We were passionately telling the stories about each variety, the bees to our friends and they were just loving the quality and the philosophy behind artisan honey. The feedbacks have always been great, and soon after we decided to turn our passion into RAW Artisan honey.
Our aim with Raw Artisan Honey is to supply exceptional quality raw honey from small scale passionate beekeepers, like Csaba, to our customers. We are committed to ensuring all our honey is produced sustainably with minimal environmental impact. The welfare of our bees are extremely important for us, this is the reason that we only source honey from small scale producers we personally know and we call them friends. We are helping our producer friends to keep on doing the great job they do by getting a fair price for the fruits of their hard work to be able to run a sustainable business for their families.
We are committed to supporting our environment and reducing our eco-footprint by using recyclable and bio-degradable packaging where possible. All our packaging can be reused and recycled.
