Huoshan Huang Ya green tea

This green tea called "yellow buds" is a superior quality tea from the Huoshan region, in the province of Anhui in China. It is made from thin, tender buds and processed using a traditional fire-cooking procedure, hence its name "yellow buds" (huang ya). Its infusion is sweet and refreshing, with a long finish. This tea was created in the Tang Dynasty and Lu Yu, the Sage of Tea, described this yellow tea in his famous Classic of Tea (Cha Jing). The method of processing this tea was lost in the 1940s and was only replicated in 1972 by three great tea masters.
