The timer is fully programmable, therefore allowing the user to set the countdown time to/from 99 hours and 59 minutes. The unit includes a large, easy to read LCD display with user selectable backlight. It also has a loud audible alarm with an adjustable volume at 92dB, ideal for busy professional kitchens. The ChefAlarm Thermometer and Timer also includes a calibration feature allowing the user to fine-tune the accuracy of the thermometer (±2.2°C). The unit is housed in a water resistant case and is additionally designed to sit on a countertop or attach to a device using the magnetic pads on the back of the instrument. Also available in three colors, each ChefAlarm comes in a padded zip wallet with a penetration probe. In short, the ChefAlarm is compatible for vacuum product temperature measurement with the Mini Needle Probe for DOT and ChefAlarm (810-072).
