Single vineyard Maturana tinta from the BAIGORRI estate. Young vines planted in 2011 and grafted on old root-stocks in 2015 providing the most powerful expression of BAIGORRI's wines, yet the naturally high acidity is holding the massive body together. Definitely a new dimension for Rioja - eternal potential. Altitude 500m, with shallow calcareous clay soils. 100% maturana, manual picking, hand-selected, long macerations and intracellular fermentation with indigenous yeast in open barrels of 500-600L. Natural extraction by gravity, malolactic fermentation and 10-12 months agein in used French oak barrels 500-600L.
