Millet is collected and grown by the organic producers of the Corab cooperative in the following departments: Charente (16), Charente-Maritime (17), Deux-Sèvres (79), Vienne (86), Haute-Vienne (87) and Dordogne (24). This plant is very stable and resistant to summer droughts, since it requires little water and does not require irrigation. Rich in protein, fiber, iron and magnesium, millet is a cereal with multiple benefits! Low allergen and gluten-free, it easily replaces rice or semolina in your dishes. It fits in both savory and sweet preparations! The hulled millet is labeled Bio Equitable in France, guaranteeing fair trade between groups of farmers in France and committed actors. Preparation tips: rinse the millet in cold water. Once rinsed, place it in a saucepan with twice their volume of cold salted water. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. When all the water is absorbed, leave to swell covered. Provide 1 volume of millet for 2 volumes of water.
