Peat smoke has long drifted through the history of the distillery. Peat was once a major part of distilling traditions and records show that Glenturret was using peat from the Octhertye Estate in the early 1800s. They are in the rare position of producing peated and unpeated alcohol at different times of the year from the same small stills. This allowed them to make this 10-year-old single malt, sweet, mellow and smoky, which shows all its character with a strength of 50%. Bottled at 50% vol. Natural color. Non-chill filtered. Smoke from the Peat Fires. Fresh citrus, vanilla and light spices drift over embroidered wood with notes of sea salt and warm smoke.
