Of the many microclimates and soils found in the Penedés wine region, calcareous soil is the most common. Among nutrients, rocks, humus, and in the sediments of ancient seas, we discover a large number of marine fossils that give rise to the expressiveness of our terroir, our varieties, our wines. Fossil is the reserve cava from the Duran Galan family, a special cuvée aged for more than 60 months in the bottle, with a classic blend, where Xarel stands out.Much like Macabeu and Parellada, Fósil is a long-aged, complex and exquisite cava. Long-aged cava, with aromas of ripe fruit and nuts, under a background of fine pastries. Broad, balanced, complex, with an elegant and silky bubble, it is long, with a lasting and tasty aftertaste.
