RECIPE BOOK - The taste of the Colagreco family

Sunday lunches, festive dinners, asados between cousins ... For Mauro Colagreco, cooking has always tasted of family, and vice versa. The recipes of his parents, his grandparents or his aunts fed the future chef, throughout his solar childhood in Argentina. They also built the foundations of his talent. These dishes of love, tenderness, overflowing with flavor and history, who link him to his ancestors and enchant his own children, Mauro Colagreco has brought them together in this book. Comforting vegetable gratins, Argentinian pot-au-feu, authentic empanadas, vitello tonnato, rice pudding and dulce de leche, elderberry toast or orange delicacies ... So many easy, generous and irresistible recipes that recount with greed Argentinian-Italian roots of one of the best chefs in the world. Born in La Plata, Argentina, in 1976, Mauro Colagreco worked alongside Bernard Loiseau, Alain Passard and Alain Ducasse before opening his restaurant, Mirazur, in Menton, in 2006. In 2019, it was awarded three Michelin stars, and the title of Best Restaurant in the World according to The World's 50 Best Restaurants. Surrounded by his wife Julia and his tribe, made up of his sisters, his friends and his collaborators, he shows off his talent in many addresses, from Menton to Paris via Buenos Aires or Beijing. Journalist and fine cook, Danièle Gerkens directs the editorial staff of ELLE à Table, ELLE Décoration, Art & Décoration. She met Mauro Colagreco during a year spent in the kitchens of Alain Passard as a clerk, in 2003. Milanese photographer, Matteo Carassale works for many magazines in Italy and around the world.
