Atar Susumaniello Valle d'Itria IGP

Ancient black grape variety native to Puglia, much cultivated in the past, especially in the Itria Valley. The name refers to its very high productivity, defined precisely as "loaded like a donkey." The cultivar was abandoned for a long time, but in recent years it has deserved to be rediscovered with a pure vinification. Our vineyard, located in the countryside between Locorotondo and Alberobello, completely surrounds a trulli housing structure, an ancient family winemaking site. Susumaniello shows good structure, elegant aromas and pleasant tannins. It is an excellent red wine that goes well with savory first courses, soups with mushrooms, legumes, cured meats, cheeses; roasted meat and game.
