Description: Two noble products par excellence, the alliance of champagne and saffron, could not fail to take place. The champagne used in the making of this jelly comes from the house of Deneufchatel, located on the Côte des blancs in Bergères les Vertus. We use a white, less acidic champagne. This jelly holds perfectly well, and is almost cut with a knife. It will go well with cheese but also with foie gras. Why not dare a sweet / savory dish by pouring this preparation over a meat or a fish! The Côte des Blancs is a wine-growing area belonging to the Champagne vineyard and intended for the production of champagne. Located in the Marne, it stretches south of Épernay for around 20 kilometers. The Côte des Blancs owes its name to the color of the grape variety which is planted there 95%, Chardonnay, which is also the only white grape variety authorized in Champagne. The champagnes produced in this area are called “blanc de blancs”. The Côte des Blancs gives rise to prized champagnes, which, according to connoisseurs, are full of liveliness and spirit, with light and delicate aromas, symbols of finesse and elegance.
