Pepper berries are hand-picked when fully ripe, then sun-dried before being cold-smoked with wood chips from local fruit trees for several days. This smoking method gives the pepper a unique and delicate flavor. Organic Smoked Black Pepper from Kerala has a complex aromatic profile with notes of smoke, wood and dried fruit. It is less pungent than classic black pepper, but it adds a subtle depth of flavor to any savory dish. This ORGANIC smoked black pepper is ideal for seasoning grilled meats, roasted vegetables, soups and sauces. It's also delicious sprinkled over scrambled eggs or sautéed potatoes.
