Unlike whole spelt, pearling eliminates the outer layer of the grain, allowing for quicker cooking and making it more digestible, while maintaining a good content of fiber, B vitamins and mineral salts such as iron, phosphorus and magnesium. 🧘Digestible grain Spelt is an ancient grain belonging to the grass family. It's naturally low in fat and rich in plant-based proteins, making it ideal for those following a balanced diet or seeking natural energy before exercise. 💧No soaking required | 🥗 Salad base No soaking required: simply rinse under running water and cook in a 1:2 ratio (farro:water) for about 20-30 minutes. After cooking, it is recommended to let it rest for 10 minutes before seasoning it, so as to improve the absorption of the flavours. It also lends itself to steaming or toasting. Pearled farro is extremely versatile and can be used to prepare cold salads, side dishes, soups, or single dishes based on vegetables, legumes or fish.
