CHIRAN TEA-CHU Japanese sweet potato shochu with green tea

A walk in the tea fields! This unique shochu is made by mixing sweet potato and green tea: the result is a drink with a strong character typical of sweet potato-based shochu, combined with an incomparable sweetness, finesse, and beautiful umami provided by tea. Chiran Jozo is a small distillery created in 1919 in the Chiran region, extremely renowned throughout Japan for the quality of its tea. In addition to running the distillery, the owner Mr Mori also cultivates several plots of tea himself. Faced with the renewed interest in quality shochu in recent years, Mr Mori had the idea of combining his two activities to create a new alcohol! The green tea that goes into the composition of Chiran Tea-chu is a first harvest premium sencha tea in order to release as much umami as possible, the leaves are directly integrated into the vats with the sweet potatoes during the second fermentation which lasts ten days. Chiran Tea-chu has already won numerous awards in Japan and France, including the platinum medal and the president's prize at the Kura Master competition! Alcohol content: 25% Japanese product imported directly from Japan by WeWantSaké
