SICILY'S SOUL IN EVERY SIP The Nero d'Avola is widely regarded as one of the iconic indigenous grape varieties that originate from the wine-growing island of Sicily. In the case of the wine of the same name, from the winery Cantina S. Antonio we find a ruby red wine with dark reflections. The nose reveals a fruity aroma, which is primarily characterized by blueberries and blackberries. But spicy nuances of mocha, coffee beans, dark chocolate and strawberries are also noticeable. Impressions of caramel, marzipan and dried fruit can also be heard. The palate is dominated by a berry-fruity impression, which also results in well-integrated tannins, a not excessive acid structure and a medium-length finish.
