I closed my eyes and the memories and scents came flooding back. Women on the roadside selling their wares to make some money to help feed the family and send their children to school. Sounds of the endless tooting of horns but above all the scents and tastes of Nana's and Mama's cooking. African cooking.

Nana, my grandma, insisted on my education in the kitchen - much to my horror at the time. I wanted to go hang out and play like the others. She would say, "season the cooking, add a little this and a little that," which led to my first iconic spice mix called Naija This n That Spice - an all purpose spice mix in honour of Nana! I'm Maggie, founder at Maggie's African Twist and chief creator of African inspired food products, chilli sauces, spice mixes, gifts and more.

Our products are African inspired, vegan and vegetarian friendly, Gluten, Dairy, Egg, Nut and Soya free. Full of the goodness that comes from herbs, seeds and plants. Our spices are guaranteed to add flavour without extra calories and our chilli sauces in four colours with varied taste are so good at adding flavour and heat both at the table and in cooking.
