Do you also like to remember your childhood days with your grandparents? The smell of grandma's Sunday roast and her irresistible cheesecake? Maybe it was your grandma's madeleines, her flan caramel, her apple pie or delicious bougatza? Well, I'm Italian, more precisely: Sicilian. And for me, it's my Nonna Pippina's homemade tomato sauce that makes me wallow in fond memories and motivates my husband and I to transfer my Nonna's knowledge, passion and love for ingredients and preparations to our company. Everything that we have today and will have in the future should be able to stand up to my unfortunately deceased Nonna Pippina. And we only offer it to you if we are sure of it. Because Nonna would have wanted it that way. And because her name is on it.
In order to turn this high standard into suitable products, we looked for and found suitable partners and supporters: family businesses with people who have been practicing their trade for generations with dedication, who advise us, but above all with joy and a lot of experience together with us tinkering with recipes. People like our 78-year-old master coffee roaster Gioachino, our master baker and confectioner Francesca or our olive oil producer Giuseppe. They see themselves as ambassadors for their craft. And of course as ambassador of Sicily. They are proud that their products made their way to Germany and have already found many new friends there. Nonna Pippina would be too.
