The history of the Costa oil mill is a story of family passion that is handed down from father to son.   It began in the 1950s when Nicola Costa and his son Francesco managed a thriving agricultural company whose main production was olive trees.   In 1969 Francesco decided to expand the supply chain by inaugurating his first oil mill.   In 1989 his son Gaetano took over the company and helped his father in the business with great passion and enthusiasm.   Gaetano's vision leads Oleificio Costa to become a successful commercial brand and a point of reference for many consumers and enthusiasts of extra virgin olive oil.   In 2007, the Oleificio Francesco Costa of Bronte obtained its first D.o.p.   with the brand "Sofia D.o.p.   Mount Etna".   In 2014, the Costa oil mill built new milling and bottling systems that allow it to achieve high quality and technological standards.   This has made it possible not only to retain the existing customer portfolio, but also to reach new market segments, thanks above all to the processing of Nocellara dell'Etna, a fine quality of local olives.   A careful analysis of the target consumers, the increasingly high quality of the final product and the use of packaging with an increasingly sophisticated design are the critical success factors that have allowed Oleificio Costa to be even more competitive even outside its borders Italians.
