It is the year 634 BC. C, a valley in Greece in the Peloponnese in the area of Epidavros, the sanctuary of Asklepios and Apollon, the first organized healing center in the world......when the residents planted the first olive trees specifically for the production of olive oil and to supply the healing center grew. There are many varieties of olives in the world, but one olive variety thrives in this place like no other. For this reason, the region has specialized in this type of olive since ancient times. It has a uniquely mild fruity and harmonious taste, which has led to worldwide fame in the healing center. Since then the Manaki olive has been grown in the valley and very old olive trees can be found everywhere. Some trees on our farm are over 500 years old and have witnessed some of the history of the place. The farm was not worked for about 50 years before it came into our family and requires a lot of care and dedication. The Manaki olive is very sensitive in terms of microclimate and handling. Even today it can only be grown productively in the specific area. Their oil is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the finest in the world, and although relatively unknown, it is growing in popularity. To bring the purity, flavor and quality enjoyed in ancient times to the present day, we treat the trees with mindfulness and devotion. We want to share this pleasure of original purity with you.
