Fukuju Junmai Mikagego has rich and indulgent flavors. Its vegetal, raw profile, tinged with a fruity sweetness, offers a dual profile, enjoyable fresh or heated in a bain-marie. While sakes are generally pasteurized twice, Fukuju Junmai Mikageggo is only pasteurized once. This uniqueness gives it a characteristic gourmet side, which makes it a perfect accompanying sake. The nose is milky, mixing fruity aromas (white peach, blueberry, green apple) with herbaceous notes. The body is ample, composed of mineral notes, citrus, chlorophyll... The finish is bittersweet, vegetal, and ends with a slight bitterness. What the sommeliers say: "I particularly appreciate this sake because it was designed to enhance the flavors of the dishes it accompanies. It is balanced and works wonders, especially with garlic-based dishes."
