Junmai “Handago Karakuchi” Sake is a dry and refreshing sake! On the nose, it reveals fresh aromas of peach in syrup, rice and wheat, enhanced with sweet touches of blond caramel and cocoa, and delicate spices such as Madagascar vanilla and white pepper. We also perceive floral notes of lemon tree, a hint of citrus and a minty freshness. On the palate, it is fluid with a gentle sweetness at the attack, followed by a beautiful acidity and a delicate bitterness, revealing a deep umami and a pronounced salinity which continues until the finish. Flavors of rice, raw mushroom and a fresh minerality combine with discreet notes of cucumber at the end of the tasting. HASenjoy in a wine glass, chilled, room temperature or slightly heated.
