Genroku - The sake of the samurai

This exceptional Japanese sake, a blend of 3 and 8 years old, is produced using a certified method dating back to the Genroku era (17th century). A family heirloom, the recipe is kept secret by the brewery. A trip to medieval Japan. The Wakatakeya Brewery was founded in 1699 on the island of Kyushu. Captivated by the Genroku™ during a tasting, we went to meet the master of the place, Mr. Hayashida to find out the secret. It is a manuscript dating back more than 300 years, which was used in its elaboration. The result ? A unique aged sake, with sweet and complex aromas. Tasted hot, it offers roasted aromas where the honey explodes in the mouth. An incomparable appetizer. What our wine merchants say: " Due to its history, which refers to the time of the samurai, you can be sure to arouse interest! " What our sommeliers say: "Very divisive, it is so original that it arouses passion among some of my clients. A must-have!"
